This culinary invention is not new, but in any case, it has taken root in the menu of many housewives. Firstly, it cooks quickly in waffle cakes, looks original, and can also be consumed both hot and cold. If you haven’t cooked it yet and haven’t included it in your regular dish, then feel free to go to the supermarket, buy several packages of shortcakes, and you can prepare minced chicken fillet yourself. But there are no strict rules here, so you can prepare minced meat from two or three meat components, in a word - whoever likes what.

It should also be noted that the products turn out juicy, since the cakes and breading do not allow the meat juice to leak out. Cutlets in waffle crusts can be served for both lunch and dinner. A vegetable side dish or even a simple salad is perfect as a side dish. In my case, this dish uses chicken fillet, fresh parsley, onion, spices and seasonings and beaten fresh eggs for batter.

Ingredients for cutlets in waffle crusts

  • chicken fillet - 1 kilogram;
  • onions - 2 heads;
  • greenfinch - one bunch;
  • waffle cakes - 200 grams;
  • vegetable oil- 5 tablespoons;
  • egg - 4-5 pieces;
  • salt and pepper - to your taste.

According to the recipe, we prepare cutlets in waffle crusts like this:

First, you should prepare all the components included in the above dish.


Pass the chicken fillet through a meat grinder; use a large or medium-sized grill.


Add chopped parsley and finely chopped onion to the minced meat.


Salt and pepper the minced meat.


Mix well and leave for half an hour to allow the flavors to penetrate throughout the mixture. Afterwards, beat the cutlet mass effectively on the work table. This is done so that it is more fluffy, homogeneous and does not crack when frying.


Beat four eggs by hand using a hand beater. If there are not enough eggs, then you should take more, as they come in different sizes.


Place approximately 1-1.5 tablespoons of minced meat onto portioned waffle cakes.


Cover the prepared semi-finished products with the second waffle lid.


Now dip both sides in eggs. Heat a frying pan with a marble coating along with vegetable oil, fry on both sides until a beautiful golden color.

There are a great many recipes for making cutlets. But if you haven’t tried these yet, with a waffle layer, then be sure to cook them. They taste like chebureki: juicy minced meat in a crispy dough.

To prepare such cutlets you need to take the following products: any meat (I have chicken breast fillet and minced beef), waffle mugs, onions, garlic, salt, ground black pepper, sunflower oil, eggs and herbs.

Preparing minced meat for cutlets. We pass chicken breast fillet, onion and garlic through a meat grinder. Add ground beef.

Salt and pepper all minced meat ingredients to taste. Mix thoroughly.

Chop the parsley or dill and add it to the minced meat. Mix well again.

Forming cutlets. Place minced meat on one waffle circle.

Cover with another waffle circle.

Then add a second layer of minced meat.

And cover again with a waffle circle.

This is how semi-finished cutlets are made.

Beat the egg in a deep plate.

Place the resulting cutlet in the egg. Envelop the entire cutlet in it.

Pour sunflower oil into a frying pan and fry the cutlets on both sides in the frying pan. Can be fried with or without breadcrumbs. Breadcrumbs make the cutlets crispier and more golden brown. Without breadcrumbs they are softer and less browned.

Cutlets with waffle layer are ready.

Serve cutlets in waffles for lunch or dinner with vegetables and pickles.

Cooking method

1. Make minced meat. Take the chicken fillet and cutting board cut it into small pieces. Take 3 onions and peel them, rinse them in water and cut them into 4 parts. We pass the chicken fillet pieces through a meat grinder along with the onion pieces. You can put more onions in the minced meat, it will be juicier. Salt and pepper the resulting minced meat. Add one egg and mix well.
2. Prepare eggs for dipping cakes with minced meat before frying in a frying pan. Beat 2 eggs into a plate and beat with a little salt. Then add eggs to the plate with batter as needed.
3. When the minced meat and eggs for dipping are ready, put the frying pan on the fire and pour vegetable oil into it. Forming cutlets. Take a waffle crust and put a tablespoon of minced meat on it. Cover the top with the second waffle crust.
4. Dip in batter and place in a hot frying pan.
5. Fry on both sides. The cutlets fry quickly.
6. If you are sure that the cutlets are well fried and ready inside, there is no need to steam them.

Waffles with minced meat in batter– a very tasty and satisfying appetizer that can complement a holiday table. It tastes like thin pancakes stuffed with meat, but you have to spend so much time fiddling with them. And with waffles everything is simple and no less tasty. By the way, about waffles. It is best to take them in a square shape, but if you don’t have any, then take the round ones. In the recipe I used minced pork, but you can also use beef or chicken - whatever you like. You can supplement the minced meat with fried champignons or grated raw potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • Square waffles – 1 pack,
  • Minced pork – 400 gr.,
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.,
  • Onion – 1 pc.,
  • Sunflower oil,
  • Salt and spices.

Peel the onion. Grate it on a fine grater or grind it in a blender. I do not recommend cutting the onion into cubes, as it will not have time to fry and will be felt in the filling. Add the onion puree to the defrosted minced meat along with salt and spices.

Mix well. The filling is ready. Grease the waffle sheet with a thin layer of minced meat. Level with a spoon.

After this, cover with a second sheet. Press with your hands so that it sticks tightly to the minced meat. The base is ready, but before cutting it, you need to wait at least 10-15 minutes so that the waffle cakes become softer and do not crumble.

Cut it lengthwise into 3-4 strips. Cut each strip into squares or rectangles. You can cut it diagonally and then you will get triangular-shaped pancakes. And for the New Year, you can cut out a Christmas tree using a cardboard template, it will be interesting for the kids. I got these blanks.

Heat a frying pan with sunflower oil. Beat the eggs with a fork or whisk, adding a little salt. You can add a pinch of flour and 50 ml. water.

Dip waffles into egg batter.

Place them in a hot frying pan and fry on both sides over medium heat.

Add sunflower oil as needed. Delicious waffles with minced meat They are served hot, but even when cooled, they do not lose their taste. If you liked this snack, you can also make a waffle roll. Apply mashed potatoes (in a thin layer) to a sheet of waffles, and mincemeat on it. After 20 minutes, wrap the soft wafer sheets into a roll. Cut the roll into 1 cm pieces and also fry in egg.
